So in the first part of the film, it seems like these two got together for not so much the right reasons. In another scene in Goa when they are alone under the roof for the first time, Dino comes on to Karishma and she is outright offended. They obviously care for each other, at least they care enough that they can’t imagine each other with a random stranger. It all felt so fake. It was as though they were forcing themselves to love one another. After they finally managed to leave the city on a motorcycle with a million bags hanging off, including a basket with a puppy, Dino stopped the bike for a minute, gave Karishma a kiss and said I love you. I was actually a bit disturbed with how these two young people made the decision to run away. I wasn’t very impressed in the first half, but the second half improved my opinion of it. I watched the film without having read anything about it. Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is a pleasant surprise. The rest of the film is about what happens after they run away. So one day over a few beers and nuts, they decide that they will run away together because they would make a great couple. Dino also doesn’t want to see his friend’s life ruined with this arranged marriage. So it’s time for Karishma to get married but she doesn’t want to. Karishma is South Indian and there is a tradition in her family that girls must marry before they’re 21. It’s about Dino (Armaan) and Karishma (Deeksha) who are good friends in college. It is the directorial debut of Imtiaz Ali’s brother Arif Ali. Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is a romantic drama starring Armaan Jain and Deeksha Seth.
